Automatic Thoughts


Thoughts that affect us the most are automatic and intrusive. These thought run in background in our minds and trigger our feelings and actions. These thoughts are either about us, or about others or about future. These thoughts come, not just once or twice but over and over again.


Now the question is how can we identify and modify these thoughts? It usually takes 5 to 10 sessions of cognitive behaviour therapy to identify, evaluate and modify these automatic thoughts.
